Margaret Cooke

Real Estate Agent

To truly learn about Lowcountry living, you’ll need an insider. And that is where Margaret Cooke comes in. Margaret grew up on Hilton Head Island where she became familiar with the many communities and the nuances of life in each one that comprises this multifaceted region. She brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge for those not yet familiar with the area. She also brings integrity, energy, and a strong work ethic to every detail of your real estate transaction.

Margaret and her family live the Lowcountry lifestyle and she is passionate about sharing it and will take you inside the finest properties. “So much of Beaufort County is behind gates, especially south of the Broad River,” says Margaret. She understands the intricacies and differences between living in each one of the varied communities. “It’s very important to me that clients find the perfect fit not just in their home but in the right community. It’s not enough to just find them the right house but to also connect them with their vision for their lifestyle and future,” adds Margaret. “I listen carefully to our conversations, and dig deep through their plans and desires, so I understand what they want their life to look like. Once I understand that – I can find the right property.”

Richard Kerr

Partner/Broker

Rich is a broker-agent who will help you put together a successful real estate purchase or sale. A graduate of the University of Virginia (’91) and Tulane University Law School (’95) Rich spent twelve years as a trial attorney in Virginia, working for two of the largest law firms in the State. “I spent years in Virginia courtrooms representing people whose deals, for whatever reason, had fallen apart. I saw too many cases where with just a little foresight and professional assistance the deal would have been a tremendous success for everyone involved.”

In 2007, Rich, his wife Stephanie, and their two children, Taylor and Jackson, left Virginia and moved to Hilton Head Island. “My wife and I would come to the South Carolina coast every year for a family vacation and every year we drove home asking ourselves the same question: “Why don’t we LIVE here?” In 2007, they made it a reality. “Absolutely no regrets — one of the best decisions for each of us individually and as a family. Our kids love it and so do we!”

After taking and passing the South Carolina Bar Examination, Rich decided not to jump back into the courtroom. “I have always loved real estate and when Simon proposed a real estate company, I absolutely loved the idea. I can put my experience and knowledge to work helping people put together real estate deals that work.” Having spent years handling contractual issues for clients, and having bought and sold numerous properties personally, Rich understands the frustration people feel with a process like buying a home.
